Tatemari &#8211; &#8220;Nuestro Abuelo el Fuego&#8221; &#8211; es el dios principal. Los Huicholes aprenden desde muy peque\u00f1os las pr\u00e1cticas religiosas, son un pueblo n\u00f3mada y entre sus principales rituales est\u00e1 la b\u00fasqueda del peyote. Una peregrinaci\u00f3n de aproximadamente 400 kil\u00f3metros a la zona &#8220;Wirikuta&#8221; la fuente de vida y lugar de sanaci\u00f3n. El Peyote es otro elemento fundamental en la vida religiosa y social de los huicholes. Lo vemos representado en los elaborados textiles, prendas y objetos religiosos como cr\u00e1neos, j\u00edcaras sagradas etc.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Huichol religion is intricate and elaborate and difficult to separate from social and political practices. Kauyumaki es el gu\u00eda, durante este recorrido a la zona sagrada Wirikuta se nos revelar\u00e1, nos ayudar\u00e1 a encontrar el camino a nuestro propio destino. Se dice que es el \u00faltimo grupo \u00e9tico en Norteam\u00e9rica que a\u00fan conserva tradiciones precolombinas y contin\u00faa con rituales heredados de sus ancestros. Existen alrededor de\u00a010 mil indigenas viviendo en zonas regulares de Jalisco, Nayarit, Durango y Zacatecas y otros 10 mil que se han movido a otras zonas en b\u00fasqueda de nuevas oportunidades atra\u00eddos por la demanda de su trabajo artesanal por parte de los turistas o porque han sido desplazados de sus tierras por el gobierno.<\/p>\n<p>Kauyumaki is one of the main gods. The Blue Deer guide these groups througout their sacred travel to &#8220;Wirikuta&#8221; helping them to find their destiny in life. Today, only about 10,000 Huichol remain in their homeland, and another 10,000 have migrated to other places throughout Mexico. They are said to be the last tribe in all of North America who\u2019ve managed to remain true to their <a href=\"http:\/\/entheology.com\/peoples\/huichol-indians-of-mexico\/\">pre-Columbian traditions<\/a>. Esta naturaleza ha sido, y siempre ser\u00e1, su religi\u00f3n. La mayor\u00eda de ellos no entiende porqu\u00e9 han sido forzados a reemplazar su amor a la tierra, esta cultura chaman, por una religi\u00f3n destructiva tra\u00edda por los misioneros. Los Huicholes que somos creados por los elementos del mundo natural: fuego, aire, agua y tierra. Por ello, cada uno de nosotros es un mini universo, un espejo de ambos, el mundo natural y el espiritual. Todo el conocimiento y secretos de estos 2 mundos est\u00e1 dentro de nosotros y esta perfectamente organizado. Los Chamanes son nuestros gu\u00edas, nos ense\u00f1an como manejarlo para entenderlo y vivir en armon\u00eda con el mundo natural y espiritual.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Huichol shamanism honors all of creation, especially the spirit of nature. For the Huichol shamans and peoples, this is, and always has been, their religion. Most cannot understand why they\u2019ve been forced to replace their Earth loving, shamanic religion with the destructive religion that missionaries brought to them by force. The Huichol say we are created from the elements of the natural world: fire, air, water and earth. Because of this, each of us is a miniature universe, a mirror of both the natural and the spiritual worlds. All the knowledge and secrets of these two worlds are inside of us and everything is perfectly arranged.
